Aaron Rodgers‘ year of brutal honesty isn’t limited to only NFL topics, as the Packers star quarterback called out a college football program.
The Green Bay quarterback played college football at Cal. Rodgers played for head coach Jeff Tedford during his time at Berkeley.
On Saturday, Tedford was honored by Cal for his time with the program.
“One of the GOATs returns home. Join Jeff Tedford, the winningest head coach in Cal history, in attending Saturday’s game vs. Oregon State. Tedford will be honored on the field at the end of the first quarter!” the program announced.

Rodgers doesn’t seem to think that Tedford is deserving of a bigger honor.
“Probably deserves more than a last minute thrown together between quarter wave. Coach is a legend, and the reason myself and so many came and thrived,” the superstar NFL quarterback tweeted on Saturday.

Tedford, 59, was Cal’s head coach from 2002 until 2012. He went 82–57 as the Bears’ head coach, winning 10 games in 2006. Cal made eight bowl games in 11 years during his time with the program.
