On Wednesday afternoon, Stanford’s football program had exciting news to announce involving Andrew Luck.
Though it’s not a huge surprise, Luck will be inducted into the Stanford Hall of Fame.
Stanford will officially induct Luck into its Hall of Fame on Sept. 29.
Luck was outstanding as Stanford’s quarterback, throwing for 9,430 yards and 82 touchdowns from 2009-2011. He was then selected by the Colts with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
One member of the 2023 @GoStanford Hall of Class had some pretty memorable moments against USC…

Unfortunately, Luck’s NFL career was cut short due to injuries. He retired ahead of the 2019 season, much to the surprise of fans in Indianapolis.
Even though Luck has been linked to the NFL just about every single day for the past few years, there’s no indication that he’ll come out of retirement.
In fact, Luck started grad school in the fall of 2022. That was a pretty clear sign that he was done playing football.
Nonetheless, Luck had an extraordinary career at Stanford and he deserves to be honored for it.
