A much better injury report for Golden State against Toronto.
The Golden State Warriors are looking to get back in the win column after Friday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers. And unlike in that contest, the Dubs won’t be limited to their second and third-stringers as they visit the Toronto Raptors for the third game of a four-game road trip. In fact, absent entirely from the injury report are Steph Curry (who missed a game due to injury management) and Andrew Wiggins (who missed two games due to personal reasons). That should make the challenge ahead a little easier.
Here’s the full injury report.
Warriors
Out — Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain)
Kuminga has now been out for more than a week, which means we’re less than two weeks away from the optimistic end of the range in which he might return. The Warriors said he’ll miss at least three weeks, and we’re counting down the days.
Out — Brandin Podziemski (right abdominal injury management)
It hasn’t seemed at any point like Podziemski’s injury is very serious, but this is now eight consecutive missed games for the second-year guard, and it sounds like he’s still a little ways off.
Out — Gary Payton II (left calf strain)
GPII has quietly crept up to 10 straight missed games. It’s a bummer, and I miss watching him play.
Questionable — Draymond Green (illness)
Green was one of the Warriors who missed Friday’s game, and hopefully he’s feeling well enough to play tonight. Golden State’s defense just isn’t the same without him.
Raptors
Questionable — Immanuel Quickley (left hip soreness)
Quickley is the only player on Toronto’s injury report, so they’re in good health. But his absence would be a big loss for the Raptors: in his first full season with the team, he’s averaging 16.2 points and 6.1 assists per game.
Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
