The full injury report for Wednesday’s game between Golden State and Sacramento.
Fresh off of a highly-embarrassing, 40-point loss to the Boston Celtics, the Golden State Warriors will get a chance to rebound — literally and figuratively — by taking a bus up the road to take on the Sacramento Kings. Unfortunately, just as they were against Boston, the Dubs are dealing with a rash of injuries, while their opponent is not.
Here’s the full injury report.
Warriors
Out — Draymond Green (left calf strain)
Green is out at least a week with a calf strain that he suffered just three minutes into Saturday’s win over the Washington Wizards. He had just returned from a three-game absence, too. The Warriors are just 3-5 when Green doesn’t play this year.
Out — Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain)
The Warriors only have a few more games before Kuminga reaches the three-week mark that was seen as the early end of his potential return. Unfortunately, Steve Kerr made it seem like Kuminga is still a long ways away.
Out — Brandin Podziemski (right abdominal injury management)
This will be the 12th consecutive absence for Podziemski. I want to say that his return is right around the corner, but I fear I’ve said that before.
Out — Kyle Anderson (left gluteal bursitis)
Yet again the Warriors will be without Green, Kuminga, and Anderson, their three power forwards. Puts some unfair pressure on Gui Santos!
Questionable — Gary Payton II (illness)
After missing 10 straight games, Payton has returned to the court and played in the last three. He’s looked good, too! It sure would be nice if he’s able to suit up and sub in for some defense against De’Aaron Fox.
Kings
Out — Colby Jones (G League assignment)
The only player on Sacramento’s injury report is a second-round pick from last year, who is getting a little seasoning. Must be nice to be healthy!
Enjoy the game, Dub Nation. The action goes down at 7:00 p.m. PT on ESPN.
