Here’s who’s playing as Golden State hosts LA.
After setting a historic pace in their first two games, the Golden State Warriors get a harder challenge today, as they host the LA Clippers. But on the bright side, they get to come home, and play in front of their fans at Chase Center for the first time this season.
The Clippers, however, are not sporting the three-headed monster that the Dubs grew accustomed to last year, with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and James Harden. One of those three is gone, and another is injured. But the Warriors, thankfully, remain in good health.
Here’s the full injury report for the 5:30 p.m. PT game.
Warriors
Available — Brandin Podziemski (facemask)
Podziemski’s broken nose in preseason continues to put him on the injury report, but it also continues to not keep him off the court. The former will probably remain true for a while, and hopefully the latter does too!
Thankfully, Podz is the only Warrior on the injury report (other than the team’s trio of two-way players, who are out for non-injury purposes).
Clippers
Out — Kawhi Leonard (right knee injury recovery)
It’s truly a bummer how hard of a time Leonard has had staying healthy. Since the start of the 2017-18 season, Leonard has never played more than 60 games in a season, and has only played in 298 regular season games in that time, which spans seven full seasons and the start of this one. He’s out indefinitely to begin the year.
Out — Mo Bamba (left knee injury recovery)
Bamba has also struggled to stay on the court, though his injury recovery isn’t as serious as Leonard’s. He’s listed as day-to-day to begin his first season with the Clippers.
Out — P.J. Tucker (not with team)
The Tucker saga continues with the Clippers. He remains away from the team — which is how he ended last year — as his management and LA try to work on a trade for the veteran.
And that’s the injury report! Enjoy the game, Dub Nation!
