The full injury report for the game between Golden State and Boston.
The Golden State Warriors, who are currently on a two-game winning streak — a rare thing these days — have quite a challenge in front of them. The Dubs are hosting the 29-13 Boston Celtics, with a chance to prove that they’re turning a corner. It certainly won’t be easy against the defending champs, and it’s made less easy by the fact that the Warriors are missing some key players.
Here’s the full injury report for the game, which begins at 2:00 p.m. PT on TNT.
Warriors
Out — Draymond Green (left calf strain)
Just a tough break for the team and the player. Green missed three games due to a back injury and an illness, but returned for Saturday’s win against the Washington Wizards. Just three minutes in, Green hurt his calf and missed the rest of the game. It sure would be nice to get to watch him defend Jayson Tatum this afternoon.
Out — Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle sprain)
We’re past the two-week mark of Kuminga’s injury, with the initial timetable being at least three weeks. Hopefully a return isn’t too far off!
Out — Brandin Podziemski (right abdominal injury management)
This will be 11 straight games on the sidelines for Podziemski. I miss him!
Out — Kyle Anderson (left gluteal bursitis)
There’s no doubt that Anderson’s absences hurt more when Green is also out.
Questionable — Steph Curry (left ankle sprain)
And here’s the big one. With about a minute left in Saturday’s game, Curry got tangled with former teammate Jordan Poole and rolled his ankle. He signaled that he was okay, but limped to the locker room. Needless to say, the Dubs chances rely heavily on Curry being able to play in this showdown. According to Bay Area News Group reporter Danny Emerman, Curry is expected to play.
Celtics
The Celtics have no players listed on their injury report, other than their trio of two-way contracts (JD Davison, Drew Peterson, and Anton Watson) all being in the G League currently.
Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
