The complete schedule is here!
The 2024-25 NBA regular season came to a conclusion on Sunday, and now comes the real fun: the playoffs. But before that happens, we get the play-in tournament. After a dramatic and thrilling overtime loss to the LA Clippers on Sunday, the Golden State Warriors slipped to the seventh seed in the busy Western Conference, missing out on an opportunity to earn the sixth seed, skip the play-in tournament, get a week of rest, and face the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
But with all the fates set, we now know what the Warriors schedule looks like going forward.
The Warriors will host the Memphis Grizzlies, who are the No. 8 seed, on Tuesday night at the Chase Center, at 7:00 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast exclusively on TNT, with 95.7 The Game providing radio coverage.
It’s a single game, rather than a series, and if the Warriors win, they’ll clinch the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoff bracket, and set up a first-round matchup with the Houston Rockets. The schedule for that series likely won’t be announced until after Tuesday’s game, but it should begin on Saturday or Sunday. It’s a seven-game series, with the Rockets hosting Games 1, 2, 5, and 7, and the winner of the Warriors vs. Grizzlies game hosting Games 3, 4, and 6.
Should the Warriors lose to the Grizzlies, they’ll play a second play-in tournament game on Friday. That game will also be at the Chase Center, though the tip-off time has not yet been announced. They would face the winner of Wednesday’s game between the No. 9 Sacramento Kings and No. 10 Dallas Mavericks, which tips off at 7:00 p.m. PT on ESPN. Should the Warriors lose on Tuesday but win on Friday, they would then have a first-round series with the Oklahoma City Thunder, which would begin on Sunday or Monday. Should the Warriors lose both play-in tournament games, their season will be over.
The other play-in tournament games are the Atlanta Hawks at the Orlando Magic on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. PT on TNT, and the Miami Heat at the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. PT on ESPN. The loser of the first game will host the winner of the second game on Friday.
Here are the final standings for both conferences. Seeds 1-4 will earn home court advantage in the playoffs, while seeds 5 and 6 get a guaranteed playoff spot. Seeds 7-10 are in the play-in tournament, with the two losing squads joining seeds 11-15 in the lottery.
