The former Laker has an opportunity to impress in training camp.
Per Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype, Blake Hinson — a former Los Angeles Laker who was under a two-way contract — has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Golden State Warriors, with training camp right around the corner.
Golden State Warriors and Blake Hinson have agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal, league sources told @hoopshype. Hinson, who was on a two-way deal with the Lakers, chose the Warriors over several teams. An Exhibit 10 contract allows Hinson to compete for a two-way spot in training camp. Should he be waived before the regular season starts, the Warriors will retain his G League rights, which will allow him to play for the Santa Cruz Warriors.
While not necessarily a needle mover in the grand scheme of things, Hinson is worth a look as a wing shooter with ample size (6’6” height, 6’10” wingspan). He shot 42.1% on nearly eight three-point attempts per game during his last season in college with Pittsburgh and put up a 37.8% mark on 6.1 attempts in his four college seasons.
