The above video is clickable. Sorry these notes & quotes below haven’t been consistently transferred to this website. Every quote that you see in the titles of the videos you see on our YouTube channel are sourced from notes like this. I haven’t found an easy way to copy and paste them here every time, but it’s coming along.
I’ll add notes and quotes from practice yesterday at the bottom, if I have time.
DISCLAIMER: These are all just notes for my main workflow of YouTube videos, tweeted by beatwriters. I used to transcribe every interview but it became too tedious and not worth the investment for the small amount of views we got on the soundbites on YouTube. The links to the tweets are not available because sometimes I don’t use the full tweet and just having a ton of tweets on this website imo isn’t aesthetically pleasing and gets away from the main goal: transferring information (not so much entertainment) asap.
FIRST OFF, THE VIDEOS:
STEVE AT MORNING SHOOTAROUND
• Steve Kerr began today’s presser by offering condolences to Adreian Payne. “Draymond is just crushed…Devastating news today.” (Connor Letourneau)
• On Mike Brown becoming head coach of the Kings: “I don’t even know where to begin. What Mike has done for me, this organization in his 6 years here…He’s an amazing coach, an amazing friend and Sacramento made a great choice. It’s a loss for us, but this is how it’s supposed to go.…Thrilled for Mike and his family.” Kerr said it’s too early to say how they’ll fill Mike Brown’s upcoming vacancy. Luke Walton and Alvin Gentry are familiar voices. But interesting to see if Warriors look for new voices. In meantime, Brown will continue his assistant coaching duties through rest of playoffs. (95.7 The Game, Melissa Rohlin, Kendra Andrews, Letourneau, Mark Medina)
• On James Wiseman watching how successful Jaren Jackson Jr. has been after dealing with a similar knee injury: “We’re very confident that he’s got a long, great career ahead.” (Dalton Johnson)

• On when he learned that he would be shut down for the rest of the year: “Just to be honest, I was pissed…It’s all in the mental. And also, that’s in my DNA. I’m not gonna ever give up no matter how hard it gets. I’ll never give up.” (Johnson, 95.7 The Game)

• Dillon Brooks on his suspension and injuring Gary Payton II: “It’s a fast paced game. Stuff happens. Guy jumps up in the air and guys can contest shots. Sometimes the way is, guys can fall down. It’s a tough play. I didn’t mean to hurt somebody. If I could take it back, I could. But it’s in the past. We’re on to Game 4.” (Medina, 95.7 The Game)
• Dillon Brooks on Steve Kerr saying he broke the code: “No reaction. I don’t even really know what that means. I did not even understand what he meant by that. It’s the playoffs… every play counts. So I don’t know what that means.” (Medina, Ohm Youngmisuk)
