The Golden State Warriors have agreed upon a trade with the Washington Wizards to acquire Chris Paul for Jordan Poole. The Warriors will also second a top-20 protected first round pick in 2030, a second rounder in 2027 and Ryan Rollins.
Poole is entering Year 1 of a deal worth up to $140 million over four seasons.
The Wizards agreed to acquire Paul from the Phoenix Suns as part of their Bradley Beal trade, but had spent the past few days trying to reroute him to a third team.
Paul is on a $30.8 million contract this season and a $30.0 million deal for 24-25 that is fully non-guaranteed.
According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Warriors will not waive Paul.
