Tom Brady probably has a lot of comparisons for current NFL players to some of the many players he’s played against throughout his decades in the league. But he had one player comparison this past week to NBA superstar Steph Curry.
During his call of Sunday’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens, Brady marveled at Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey booting a 65-yard field goal during the game. He was so impressed that he compared Aubrey to Curry for his long-distance accuracy.
“He’s like the Steph Curry of kickers,” Brady said after kick. “There’s no range that’s too far.”
Aubrey was flattered by the comparison. Speaking to Fox Sports he said that it wasn’t a comparison he ever would have considered but mused that it made sense.
“That was a really neat moment and a comparison that I never would have thought of,” Aubrey said. “But I think makes sense.”

Aubrey is well on his way to having yet another All-Pro season in his second year in the NFL. The former soccer star-turned-placekicker has picked up right where he left off on last year’s record-setting campaign and is a perfect 10-for-10 on field goals to start the year.
Far more impressively, Aubrey is a perfect 15-of-15 on field goals of more than 50 yards.
It feels like only a matter of time before Aubrey breaks the record for longest field goal in NFL history.
A far more interesting question is whether he’ll be the first player in history to kick a field goal of 70 yards.
