Jigsaw, Jackie Moon, and a dog??
This is Halloween! This is Halloween! And all across the NBA the action is dramatic on and off the court. That includes the costumes from around the league as hoopers have some fun in disguise.
The Golden State Warriors are no stranger to dressing up on October 31st; just take a look at our guy Andrew Wiggins dressed up as a dawg.
Dub Nation wants him to keep bringing that dog out this season on the court. But seeing Wiggs having a good time reminded me of when the Splash Bros put on some elite costume performances.
Steph rolled into the arena as Jigsaw, the creepy puppet from the Saw horror series, and, yes, he did the whole thing right, complete with a tricycle, red bowtie, and that chillingly blank puppet stare. The details were all on point: he even had the menacing music playing on a speaker as he pedaled his way through the building, giving off an eerie, “let’s play a game” energy that perfectly captured the character. This wasn’t just Steph in a costume—it was a whole performance.
Bonus points for the year he was Buzz Lightyear!
Klay, meanwhile, channeled his inner Jackie Moon from the comedy Semi-Pro, the 70s-styled, free-spirited player-coach of the Flint Tropics. Rocking the retro headband, an orange jersey, and a perfectly poofy wig, Klay looked like he stepped right off a ‘70s basketball court. It’s a costume that suits Klay’s laid-back and humorous personality and calls back to his love of classic, tongue-in-cheek characters. These two don’t just show up for Halloween—they make it a full-on show. If any duo could balance the thrills and the laughs of the season, it’s got to be Splash Brothers, Jigsaw and Jackie Moon.
