Steve Kerr is in the final season of his contract with the Golden State Warriors as no extension has been reached.
“I want to be back,” Kerr told Logan Murdock of The Ringer. “I’ve made that clear every time I’ve been asked about it. The only thing I won’t talk about is just any detail of contract stuff, but I’ve been very open. I want to come back. Joe [Lacob has] told me he wants me back, so I think I’ll be back.”
Kerr was hired as head coach of the Warriors in 2014.
This summer, Kerr will also be head coach of the United States’ Olympics team.
Erik Spoelstra recently signed a contract extension with the Miami Heat worth $120 million over eight years.
