Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry didn’t mince words about losing Klay Thompson as a teammate. Curry made it clear he had hoped Thompson would stay and that they would finish their careers together.
“We would’ve loved to maintain the core and finish out together,” Curry said. “So, you have to be able to celebrate what we accomplished and be able to move.”
Thompson left the Warriors for the Dallas Mavericks via a sign-and-trade move this summer.
After saying “it sucks” to see Thompson leave, Curry said what he wants most is to see his long-time teammate happy again.
“It’s something that I never imagined would be a reality, but we want him to be happy,” Curry said.
