He ends his hosting tenure on a high note.
It’s only fitting that resident Golden State Warriors superstar and de facto host of the 2025 All-Star Game in the Bay Area gets to win it.
After leading Shaquille O’Neal’s OG Team to victory over Charles Barkley’s Global Stars in the Finals of the All-Star Tournament, in which he scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting on threes, Curry was awarded his second Kobe Bryant All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award. He previously won the award in 2022.

As usual, Curry sought to entertain the fans — just as much as he sought out Trayce Jackson-Davis on a switch, if only to pull up from deep and show out against his teammate:

Curry’s floater hasn’t been its top-notch self this season. Per Cleaning The Glass, only 42% of his floater-range attempts have gone in — a mere 50th percentile. The solution to the floater problem may have been found in this game: just take them from beyond the arc!

Of course, it wouldn’t be an All-Star Game with Steph Curry in it without him trying to drill one from half court:

Curry ends his All-Star Game on a high note — however, the game and the festivities themselves did not. A slew of complaints about unnecessary product placement, influencer prioritization, and long breaks were prevalent. The NBA tried to make a competitive product, and for most of the night, the players actually tried harder than usual.
But after a long 15-minute break in the Final game that took too long to cater to off-court happenings, the players lost all rhythm and flow — and fast-tracked the game to its conclusion.
