There are numerous players in the NBA whose contracts will become guaranteed on January 10. The date to watch for them though is actually January 7. This is because those players will be on waivers for 48 hours if their team decides not to allow their contract to become fully guaranteed. The player must clear waivers ahead of that January 10 date.
Here are some notable players that will see their NBA contract fully guaranteed on January 10 if they are held on to by their team.

The 13-year veteran has shot 6-17 from the field during his brief playing time (3-12 from three-point range).
Talen Horton-Tucker, Chicago Bulls
A little-used member of the Los Angeles Lakers 2020 championship team, Talen Horton-Tucker made the Bulls roster after signing an Exhibit 10 deal. The 6-foot-4 guard is averaging 6.2 points in his 29 outings while shooting 37.1% from beyond the arc (career 29.3% entering the season).
Andre Jackson Jr., Milwaukee Bucks
The 36th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Andre Jackson Jr. has been a regular starter for Milwaukee since mid-November. The 23-year-old is a low-usage player (averaging just 3.7 points) but provides effort on the defensive end of the floor.
Keon Johnson, Brooklyn Nets
Selected 21st overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, Keon Johnson has been in the starting lineup for each of the Nets last 14 contests. In those starts, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard has posted averages of 10.7 points and 4.1 rebounds (shooting just 35.7% from the field, 27.7% from three-point range).
