There is some optimism that the Golden State Warriors could sign Moses Moody to an extension before the Monday, October 21st deadline, especially in comparison to how their talks are progressing with Jonathan Kuminga.
“I’m told there is a window for him to get a deal done,” said Shams Charania on NBA Today. “That is a much more likely deal in Golden State. He has played well so far this preseason. They believe he can have a real rotation role. If he does, they do want to extend him.”
Bobby Marks added that Moody could be in the $13 million per year range on his extension.
Moody, who is represented by agent Rich Paul, was the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft. In 23-24, Moody averaged 8.1 points and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 36.0 percent on three-pointers over 66 games.
