Jonathan Kuminga and the Golden State Warriors will not sign an extension before Monday’s deadline, which will lead him to restricted free agency in 2025, reports Shams Charania on NBA Today. Kuminga is represented by agent Aaron Turner.
Both Kuminga and the Warriors are interested in seeing how the season plays out. Kuminga has been seeking an extension at or near his maximum. Kuminga sees his own career as potentially having a similar trajectory to Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam and Jaylen Brown.
Last season, Kuminga averaged 16.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in a career-high 26 minutes per game.
