Jonathan Kuminga stated that he saw his best position as a small forward, though he was open to playing power forward.
“At the end of the day, I know I’m a small forward. I can do it. I can play it at the highest level.
“But going forward, it’s all about what the team wants me to do. It don’t matter, small forward or whatever,” said Kuminga on Friday.
Steve Kerr, who said he sees Kuminga as a power forward, is currently deciding between a starting lineup with Kuminga next to Draymond Green as a small-ball starting center or one with Green at power forward next to a traditional center.
Kuminga added that he’s been working on his shooting during the offseason.
“I’m trying to get my catch-and-shoot percentage way higher. That’s gonna help everyone, open up the floor a bit more,” added Kuminga.
