The Jimmy Butler acquisition is official as of today.
In a message to Dub Nation via the Golden State Warriors’ official X account, Butler introduced himself to Warriors fans and made the bold move of guaranteeing a championship.

He faced media along with Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. As previously reported, Butler will be sporting jersey number 10:

For Butler — who was suspended a significant number of games by the Miami Heat for conduct detrimental — he stated that he was just happy to not be suspended any more games:

As for how Butler would fit into the team, he simply said the words that could easily endear him to the team and the fans:

As for how Steve Kerr will incorporate Butler into lineups, Kerr stated that Butler will definitely play the role of secondary scorer and will stagger Butler’s minutes with Steph Curry. Butler will be the focal point of the Warriors’ offense in non-Curry minutes:
Kerr said Butler will “for sure” play the minutes Stephen Curry sits. Needs to figure out Golden State’s spacing, “the name of the game these days.” Hopeful he’ll play Saturday against the Chicago Bulls.

Butler will sit out tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, but he will make his Warriors debut against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
