Troubles continue to mount for the Warriors with their latest loss against the Pacers at the Chase Center. Steve Kerr and Co. are 3-10 in their last 13 games despite an impressive start to the season. Another harsh reality has been Dub Nation’s mediocre record at home.
In their thirteen home games so far, the Warriors are 7-6. Hosting Indiana on Monday night, Stephen Curry and the cast failed to break the Pacers’ 100% win record at the Chase Center. Improving their streak to 6-0, Indy continues to enjoy success at the Bay Area’s new hoop arena.
The Dubs, who played at the Oracle Arena in Oakland between 1971 and 2019 now had a new home in San Francisco worth $1.4 billion. Though the Warriors have enjoyed a 60.7% success rate at the Chase Center so far, they have yet to overcome their jinx against the Pacers.

Pacers Continue Their Winning Streak at the Chase Center
It all began in January of 2020 when Indiana visited Golden State’s new home, defeating them 129-118. At the time, both Curry and Klay Thompson were out with injuries. Nonetheless, this didn’t change the Warriors’ fate at the Chase Center, who continue to remain winless against the Pacers there.
Between 2020-2024, Golden State hosted Indiana on six occasions but lost each time. Many thought the Warriors had a strong chance to redeem themselves on Monday night. But, fourth quarter struggles, poor free throw shooting, and Curry’s rusty shooting debarred them.

Indiana’s big man duo of Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner combined for 43 points and 15 rebounds, with Tyrese Haliburton chipping for 12 assists. The Pacers had six players accounting for double-digit scoring figures.

Steph Curry Takes Responsibility
The four-time Warriors champion who hasn’t had the best month so far as he has been struggling from the field. Addressing the media after the loss against the Pacers, Curry had the following to say.
“I could be a lot better and I will be. The second when there’s nothing that I haven’t seen before is gotta understand….When to pick and choose response based on attention you get, try to find a rhythm, a little earlier with an adjustment. But something I’ve been through and trying to find a way about it.”
Averaging 20.6 points, 7.0 assists, and 4.0 rebounds in eight games so far in December, Curry has shot an unimpressive 37.8% from the field, including 35.2% from the three-point line. It is only a matter of time before the two-time MVP bounces back. Meanwhile, Coach Kerr needs to find alternate resources on the offensive end of schemes.
The Front Office Needs to Make a Trade
No doubt, acquiring a veteran guard in Dennis Schroder was a wise decision. Nevertheless, this doesn’t bring the Dubs back into championship contention. If the management desires to make the most of Curry’s closing window, they need to ensure their franchise star has enough help.
Talents like Jonathan Kuminga and Trayce Jackson-Davis display potential but require a little more grooming. Hence, the Warriors require a perennial All-Star level player, someone who could ease the load off Curry.
