The Golden State Warriors return home to host the Washington Wizards on Saturday night. The game will be played at 5:30PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State ended their freefall in the standings with a thrilling 116-115 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. The Warriors came out firing, racing to a 34-12 lead after a dominant first quarter. However, the Timberwolves clawed their way back, setting up a nail-biting finish as the teams traded buckets in the final minutes.
Enter Stephen Curry. With just over a minute left, the Warriors’ superstar shot a clutch three-pointer to break the tie and help propel Golden State to a critical win. Curry capped off another stellar night with a team-high 31 points, marking his fifth time scoring 26 or more in the past six games.
Sheeeessh Stephen.

What to watch for tonight:
After wrapping up a four-game road trip, the Warriors now begin a stretch where eight of their next nine games will be played at the Chase Center. Although Golden State is just 10-10 when playing at home this season, the team should be getting a boost for tonight’s game with the return of Draymond Green, who’s expected to be back in the lineup after missing three games.
Draymond Green is probable for a return tomorrow night vs Wizards. Kyle Anderson, Brandin Podziemski and Jonathan Kuminga remain out for the Warriors. Eight of their next nine games are at home.

The Wizards, meanwhile, come into this matchup as the NBA’s worst team, sporting a 6-33 record. They’ve dropped a league-worst eight straight games and have only one win on the road all season. Ranked last in both offensive and defensive rating, Washington appears destined for another lottery pick to complement this year’s No. 1 overall pick, Alex Sarr.
Former Warrior Jordan Poole leads Washington with a career-high 21.4 points per game. He has shown marked improvement during his second season with the Wizards, shooting 40% from three compared to 32.6% last year. Poole’s scoring ability will test Golden State’s defense, and it’s safe to say his former teammates will undoubtedly be motivated to face the player who played a significant role during their title run.
Asked GP2 about guarding Jordan Poole tomorrow: “He knows I’m gonna talk shit.”
