Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors extended their losing streak to three games after a 105-101 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. Despite playing without Stephen Curry, who was sidelined with bilateral knee pain, the Warriors mounted an impressive effort against the Western Conference-leading Thunder.
Golden State held a late lead, fueled by a strong third-quarter performance where they outscored the Thunder 33-22. However, the Warriors’ offense went stagnant for a five-minute stretch in the fourth quarter, allowing Oklahoma City to claw back and reclaim the advantage. Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green hit key shots to bring the game within one possession with 7.1 seconds remaining. Steve Kerr drew up an inbounds play to force overtime, but Wiggins failed to convert on a drive to the rim.
Arena view of that deciding possession. Looked like Andrew Wiggins had a crack of space and plenty of time to tie it, but looked off-balance and rushed on missed layup over recovering Lu Dort. pic.twitter.com/ajC0ad6QDA

What to watch for tonight:
The superstars are expected to be available for Saturday’s matchup between the Warriors and the Suns. Curry practiced fully on Friday, while Phoenix’s Kevin Durant, returning from a left calf strain, has played in the Suns’ last two games.
Phoenix is a drastically different team with Durant on the floor. They boast a 9-2 record when the former MVP plays, compared to 1-6 without him. Before Durant’s injury, the Suns ranked 11th in net rating and have since dropped to 18th.
Meanwhile for Golden State, their recent struggles have highlighted a glaring need for a consistent secondary scorer. Although having depth is nice, they’re missing someone other than Curry who can create their own shot when the offense stagnates. Wiggins filled that role admirably for a stretch, but it’s unrealistic to expect that to continue at a high level while also having him guard the opposing team’s best player on a nightly basis.
Facing a Suns team loaded with offensive weapons, the Warriors will need contributions from across the roster to keep pace. Despite their recent losing streak, the Warriors have proven they can be one of the best teams in the league, so it should be interesting to see if they meet the challenge in this tough road matchup.
