The Golden State Warriors play their last game before the All-Star Break with tonight’s matchup against the Houston Rockets. The game will be played at 5:00PM PT in Houston and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors’ comeback bid came up just short in Wednesday night’s 111-107 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Despite trailing by as many as 12 points in the fourth quarter, the Warriors clawed their way back, briefly taking a one-point lead after a clutch Stephen Curry three-pointer with 3:31 remaining.
However, Golden State had no answer for Kyrie Irving, who torched them for 42 points, helping seal the win for Dallas.

The loss marked the first of the Jimmy Butler era in Golden State. Butler finished with 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting, while former Warrior Klay Thompson—facing his old team for the third time this season—posted 17 points on 6-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-14 from deep.
What to watch for tonight:
Golden State won’t have much time to dwell on the loss, as they face Houston tonight on the second night of a back-to-back. The Rockets, currently 34-20 and sitting fourth in the Western Conference, boast one of the league’s most athletic rosters and the NBA’s fourth-ranked defense—an area that could challenge an older Warriors squad still figuring out their offense.
Head coach Steve Kerr expressed frustration over the scheduling, but despite the quick turnaround, the Warriors will roll out their full veteran core, with Curry, Draymond Green, and Butler all expected to play.
Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green are all cleared to play for the Warriors tonight in Houston on the second night of a back-to-back. Same available rotation as last night. Tari Eason, Fred VanVleet, Jabari Smith out for Rockets.

The Warriors are 2-3 on this current road trip and sit at an even 27-27 on the season. With the All-Star break looming, Golden State will push for one more win tonight, hoping to head into the break above .500.
