The Golden State Warriors will host the Dallas Mavericks for a primetime Sunday afternoon matchup. The game will be played at 12:30 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on ABC.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State capped off a seven-game road trip in dominant fashion, cruising past the Sacramento Kings with a 132-108 victory on Friday night. After edging out a 31-28 lead in the first quarter, the Warriors never looked back, maintaining control the rest of the way. It was a well-balanced scoring effort, with four players reaching the 20-point mark. Moses Moody and Buddy Hield led the charge, dropping 22 points apiece. The win pushes Golden State two games above .500 and moves them ahead of the Kings in the Western Conference standings.

What to watch for tonight:
Sunday’s game will be significant for multiple reasons. Not only does it mark another Bay Area return for former Warrior Klay Thompson, but Golden State will also be celebrating the legacy of four-time champion Andre Iguodala by retiring his jersey.
A lasting legacy.

Sunday will also be the Chase Center debut for Jimmy Butler as a Warrior. Since his arrival, Butler has been a game-changer, helping the team to a 4-1 record, with their only loss coming against these same Mavericks before the All-Star break.
Butler has provided a much-needed spark on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he alleviates some of the scoring burden from Steph Curry by aggressively attacking the rim and getting to the free-throw line. He’s also elevated the performance of Golden State’s role players with his playmaking ability.
Although the trade cost the Warriors some point-of-attack defense, the combination of Butler and Draymond Green has proven to be solid enough defensively. This is especially true off the ball where Golden State leads the NBA in steals over the last five games.
The Warriors are 4-1 with Butler and in that time they are 6th in free throw attempts with 122 while 2nd in % at 85.2%. They are also 1st in steals and assists while 6th in blocks and plus minus.
