The Golden State Warriors continue their road trip with a matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. The game will be played at 7:00 PM PT in Los Angeles and can be watched on TNT.
Previously with the Warriors:
Golden State enters the second night of a back-to-back after a crushing 131-128 loss to the last-place Utah Jazz. The Warriors squandered an 11-point lead in the final three minutes, getting outscored 20-6 down the stretch. Steph Curry led the way with 32 points, while rookie Brandin Podziemski delivered a career-high 29 in another standout performance.

The loss came on an emotional night, as the Warriors made a blockbuster trade just hours before tip-off. Golden State dealt Andrew Wiggins—one of the team’s most beloved players—along with Kyle Anderson, Dennis Schroder, and a protected first-round pick to the Miami Heat in exchange for All-Star forward Jimmy Butler. Head coach Steve Kerr acknowledged the emotional toll of the trade likely played a role in the team’s loss.

What to watch for tonight:
This marks the third meeting between the Warriors and Lakers this season, with Golden State still searching for its first win against L.A. The Warriors continue to hover around .500, while the Lakers have surged to a 29-19 record, winning eight of their last 10 games.
However, the biggest storyline heading into this matchup is the chaos stemming from the NBA Trade Deadline. While the Warriors made waves by acquiring Butler, the Lakers sent shockwaves throughout the league by pulling off a stunning deal for Luka Dončić, sending Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in return. Los Angeles followed that move by trading for Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams late Wednesday night.

Unfortunately, none of the new additions are expected to play tonight. However, this does set the stage for another classic battle between Curry and LeBron James—leading their respective undermanned squads in the aftermath of one of the wildest trade deadlines in recent memory.
Steph Curry will play tonight at Lakers on the second night of a back-to-back. Draymond Green is probable. Moses Moody and Gui Santos are questionable. Bench depleted while Jimmy Butler trade finalizes. Butler is expected to join team in LA but not yet debut.
