The Golden State Warriors look to bounce back from their most recent loss with tonight’s matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. The Game will be played at 4:00PM PT in Charlotte and can be watched on NBC Sports Bay Area.
Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors’ five-game winning streak came to an end Saturday night in a 126-119 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. With Jimmy Butler sidelined due to a back injury, the Warriors reverted to a more traditional starting lineup, shifting Draymond Green back to power forward and giving rookie Quinten a start at center.
Golden State saw balanced scoring with four of its five starters reaching double figures, led by Steph Curry’s 29 points and Posts’ 16. However, the real story of the night was the Warriors’ inability to contain 76ers guard Quentin Grimes, who erupted for a career-high 44 points.

What to watch for tonight:
Golden State will try to get back in the win column against the Charlotte Hornets, a team struggling with a 14-45 record—second worst in the NBA. Charlotte is currently on a six-game losing streak and lost to Golden State by 36 points just a week ago. That blowout, however, came with several key Hornets players sidelined, including leading scorer LaMelo Ball, who is not listed on the team’s injury report and is expected to play Monday night.
Hornets listed them as QUESTIONABLE, but the actual injury report has them as PROBABLE. KJ Simpson remains with the Greensboro Swarm for now; they don’t play again until Tuesday.

On the Warriors’ side, Butler is slated to return after missing one game. Despite seven total Warriors players scoring in double figures against Philly, the offense looked out of rhythm—eerily similar to their struggles prior to the big trade.
Fortunately, the Warriors are 7-1 with Butler in the lineup. His presence could be the key to getting the team back on track as they begin the front end of this road back-to-back.
