The Golden State Warriors honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a rare afternoon matchup against the Boston Celtics. The game will be played at 2:00 PM PT in San Francisco and can be watched on TNT.
Previously with the Warriors:
The Warriors returned to Chase Center on Saturday night with a 122-114 victory over the Washington Wizards, keeping their momentum going after a long four-game road trip. However, it wasn’t an easy win. The Wizards lit up the scoreboard with a blistering shooting performance, knocking down 22 three-pointers at a 49% clip.
Leading the charge for Washington was former Warrior Jordan Poole, who made his second return to San Francisco since being traded to the Wizards two years ago. Poole had a spectacular night, dropping a game-high 38 points and reminding fans of the flair he once brought to Golden State.

Despite Washington’s offensive onslaught, the Warriors found a way to prevail. Andrew Wiggins led the team with an aggressive outing, tallying 31 points on 12-of-22 shooting while relentlessly attacking the paint. Stephen Curry added 26 points on 10-of-22 shooting, including several key baskets down the stretch. Another critical factor was that the Warriors dominated inside, outscoring the Wizards 58-24 in points in the paint.

What to watch for tonight:
Golden State has come a long way since their first matchup against Boston back in November. At the time, the Warriors were one of the hottest teams in the NBA with a record of 7-1 after beating the Celtics in the TD Garden Arena. Since then, the Warriors have dropped to 21-20 after the first half of the season, while the Celtics are second in the Eastern Conference with a record of 29-13.
Injury concerns loom large for Golden State. Draymond Green, who recently returned from a three-game absence, left Saturday’s game early in the first quarter due to a calf injury and has been ruled out for today’s matchup. Curry also tweaked his ankle late in the Wizards game but said he should be ready to play on Monday.
Draymond Green is out against the Celtics tomorrow. Left calf strain. No official update expected from Warriors until tomorrow, but he’s gonna miss some time. Steph Curry is questionable. Left ankle sprain. He indicated last night he planned to play.

Boston boasts the league’s most prolific three-point attack, leading the NBA in attempts (49.1) and makes (17.8) per game. Their deep roster of sharpshooters has powered a scorching 118.8 offensive rating, the third-best in the league.
In contrast, Golden State remains a top-five team in three-point shooting but relies heavily on a smaller core of perimeter threats. To keep pace with the Celtics, the Warriors will need to catch fire from beyond the arc and sustain a strong defensive intensity.
