The Golden State Warriors appear to have an important announcement coming.
On X/Twitter Wednesday afternoon, the official Warriors account teased that a “big Statement” would be “coming soon” along with a GIF of what appears to be an alternate logo.
If we had to guess, judging by the fact that “Statement” is capitalized, Golden State is probably planning to unveil their new Statement jerseys soon.
Introduced into the league in 2017-18 when Nike took over as the NBA’s official uniform and apparel partner, Statement jerseys are meant to be worn for rivalry games or other important matchups.

Presumed uniform announcements aside, this is a major offseason for Golden State.
After a 2023-24 season in which they went 46-36 and were eliminated in the Play-In Tournament, the Warriors have several critical decisions ahead of them, most importantly what to do about guard Klay Thompson.
Head coach Steve Kerr has made it clear he wants to keep Thompson, but a recent report indicated the veteran guard’s departure “from the only franchise he has ever known feels closer and more probable than ever before.”
Additionally, NBA insider Marc Stein reported this week that Golden State could be in the market for star forward Paul George, should the veteran standout try to force his way out of the Los Angeles Clippers.
