As a guest on Jeff Teague’s Club 520 podcast, Golden State Warriors big man Draymond Green touched on his future. When speaking about building for what’s next, Green said he knows his playing career is coming to an end.
“I’m on the wrong side of my down slide. Like, I’m headed into Year 13,” Green said. “I probably got two more (seasons).”
Green then spoke about how important it is to him to have already started the next phase of his career. He talked about his podcast and being on TV as things he wanted to start doing before his career was over.
Green has three seasons and $77.7 million left on the four-year deal he signed with the Warriors in 2023. The final season in 2026-27 is a player option worth $27.7 million.
