Draymond Green has never been afraid to do some trolling.
We know that Green does not like Rudy Gobert, and he also called out Karl-Anthony Towns earlier this week, so it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that the Golden State Warriors forward seemed to poke fun at the Minnesota Timberwolves for getting blown out Thursday night.
Facing elimination in Game 5 at home, the Timberwolves fell behind by 29 at halftime and things have only gotten worse in the second half. Right now, the Dallas Mavericks are still up 26 midway through the fourth quarter and are on the verge of their first NBA Finals appearance in 13 years.
Meanwhile, Green is apparently on an airplane, and when he finally was able to check in on the score, he took to X/Twitter to express his thoughts.
“WiFi just came on, on my flight after a while in the air… OUCH!! lol wow,” Green wrote.
Minnesota had won Game 4 in Dallas on Tuesday to stay alive in the series, but fell under an early avalanche from Luka Doncic tonight and never recovered.
“I’m embarrassed for these Minnesota fans. You go down there and you win that (Game 4) and you don’t get swept, these people think ‘Uh, oh, we might have a series,'” said Charles Barkley on TNT at halftime. “I told you I’d be shocked if the Mavs won this game. I’m way past shocked at the way they’re winning the game.”
The Mavericks are set to face the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals next week.
