Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd is going to have some explaining to do on his next “Where Colin Was Wrong” segment as it relates to the Golden State Warriors.
Last month Cowherd was extremely bullish on the Warriors after they rose to 33-28 on the season. On March 7, he boldly declared that the Warriors would reach the Western Conference Finals to take on the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets.
“I’ll make my call. Warriors end up in the Western Conference finals against Denver,” he said.
But fast-forward to today – less than 24 hours after the Warriors lost their play-in tournament game against the Sacramento Kings – and Cowherd has been getting crushed for this take.
“Can we collectively just try and get this joke of a person off TV, and send him to work as a janitor or something?” one user wrote this morning.
“The things Colin and j Mac pick and choose to overreact to vs the things they choose to under react to are always funny,” wrote another.
“the most unprepared man in sports radio strikes again,” a third declared.
Many have been predicting that the Golden State Warriors dynasty is pretty much over for a while now. Despite the team winning the NBA title in 2022, the team hasn’t been a dominant force in the West like the were in the 2010s with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant serving as their big three.
But with Durant long gone and Thompson going an astounding 0-10 in yesterday’s game, it’s going to take something truly significant to bring another title to the Bay Area with this current group.
