Shout out to the sophomore Podz!
Second year guard Brandin Podziemski has played his way into some extended time in a Golden State Warriors uniform, evidenced by the team exercising the third-year option on his rookie deal.
The 19th overall pick of the first round 2023 draft, and member of the 2023-2024 NBA All-Rookie First Team, has showed that he’s integral to the Warriors future core.

During his rookie season he averaged 9.2 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 45% shooting from the field and 38% shooting from beyond the arc. He also appeared in 74 games, showing durability as he bounced between starting and a reserve role as the Warriors figured out the final season of Klay Thompson.
His hard work has paid off with gaining more and more of the coaching staff’s trust, which is no small feat considering how Coach Steve Kerr normally is cautious putting rookies into the fire.
