The contract of Bob Myers with the Golden State Warriors expires on June 30th, but clarity on his future would likely need to be decided before then.
Myers is expected to take time in the coming weeks to decide on his future.
Joe Lacob has offered Myers a new deal and has stated both publicly and privately that the Warriors want to retain him. Myers could exit the franchise even if Lacob offers him the type of contract he’s looking for.
If Myers leaves the Warriors, the expectation is that an internal promotion is more likely than an outside search. Mike Dunleavy Jr. is considered by many to be the “natural successor” if Myers does not remain with the franchise.
