Warriors’ depth will face early season tests.
Per Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr on 95.7 The Game’s Willard & Dibs, Andrew Wiggins will most likely be out for tomorrow night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to a back strain.
Steve Kerr just told @WillardAndDibs that Andrew Wiggins is “most likely OUT” tomorrow.
He’s listed as questionable with a back strain.

Wiggins carried the scoring load last night for the Warriors in a losing effort against the Los Angeles Clippers with 29 points on 11-of-15 shooting (5-of-8 on threes) and 88.8% True Shooting, which gave the team a fighting chance to win despite Steph Curry’s ankle injury (one that shouldn’t keep him out for long but will force him to miss the next two games against the Pelicans).
The Warriors will also be without De’Anthony Melton due to a strained lower back. Like Curry, he will also miss the next two games against the Pelicans.
The Warriors’ roster — touted internally as perhaps one of the deeper ones in the league — will be tested early on.
