Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox suffered a fractured index finger on his left shooting hand during his team’s Game 4 loss to the Warriors on Sunday.
Despite being officially listed as doubtful for Game 5 on Wednesday, Fox told reporters this afternoon that he has every intention of playing.
His declaration has the basketball world celebrating and breathing a sigh of relief simultaneously.
“That’s my point guard,” said one Kings fan.

Fox is averaging 31.5 points per game through the first four games of this series and scored 38 points in Game 4 despite injuring his finger.
The Kings won the first two games of this Western Conference first rounder series at home before Golden State did the same in their building.
Game 5 is set for 10 p.m. ET tomorrow night on TNT.
