The Toronto Raptors have acquired Davion Mitchell, Sasha Vezenkov and the 45th pick in the 2024 NBA draft from the Sacramento Kings for Jalen McDaniels.
The trade opens up a roster spot for the Kings and gets them under the luxury tax.
Mitchell averaged 5.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 15.3 minutes over 72 games last season. After averaging 27.7 minutes as a rookie, Mitchell’s playing time dropped to under 20.0 minutes per game under Mike Brown. Mitchell is eligible for a contract extension this offseason and becomes a second draft player for the Raptors. Mitchell is represented by Alex Saratsis.
Vezenkov averaged 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.2 minutes over 42 games.
In 50 games last season with the Raptors, McDaniels averaged 3.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10.8 minutes.
