Markelle Fultz is thankful for the opportunity he had to sign with the Sacramento Kings. Fultz said taking he first half of the season off to get right physically has him ready to contribute down the stretch.
“This is the best I’ve ever felt since being in the league,” Fultz told The Sacramento Bee. “I never had the opportunity to take my time and get healthy, so being able to do that last summer has been great for me. I’m super excited for this opportunity and I’m thankful for it.”
Fultz went unsigned until just before the All-Star break, but it wasn’t because of a lack of interest. The veteran point guard said it was his decision to wait until he was fully healthy to pick his spot.
Last season, Fultz averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and a steal per game for the Orlando Magic.
