Sacramento looks for its fourth straight victory in the tournament.
After a thrilling win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, the Sacramento Kings look to maintain their undefeated status in a Sunday matinee versus their conference opponent, the Dallas Mavericks.
The Mavericks have not seemed to have found their footing quite yet in the tournament, losing all three of their opening games. The Kings, however, are building a momentum and chemistry dating back (waaaay back) those two, long weeks ago at the California Classic.
Look for strong showings from Davion Mitchell and Neemias Queta again, as we saw on Friday night. But another thing to watch is the healthy growth of those players around them. Kings sophomore Chimezie Metu and Jahmi’us Ramsey have really shined in the last two contests, and the match-ups heading into the game with Dallas pose opportunity to continue that talent showcase.
Sacramento is just one of five remaining teams in the tournament to have gone undefeated, so to say that they are playing for “something” or that there is anything “on the line” feels harsh considering the fact that it’s Summer League, but hey: there’s just a lot to be excited about if you’re a Kings fan with this group of guys.
