Both Devin Booker and DeMar DeRozan have been top-notch scorers throughout their career. Booker has done it for 10 seasons with the Phoenix Suns. Now in his 16th season, DeRozan is now in the middle of his first season with the Sacramento Kings after previously playing for the Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls. On Wednesday, both continued their scoring exploits as they joined the 30+ points in 200 games club on the same night.
Booker And DeRozan Reach Career Scoring Feat Wednesday
Devin Booker Scores 32 Against Nets
Phoenix crept to a game over .500 at 22-21 after their 108-84 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. In the game, the 28-year-old Booker finished with 32 points in 36 minutes. He shot 14-24 from the field, 3-8 from beyond the arc, and made his only free-throw attempt. As tweeted out by the Suns, that was the 200th time that Booker has scored at least 30 points. They also state that he is the 10th shooting guard to do so.

In his 38 appearances this season, the 6-foot-6 guard is averaging 25.7 points. It would be the seventh-straight year where he has averaged at least 25 (and it would be eight straight, except he averaged 24.9 in 2017-18). Not even 30 years old yet, Booker has already totaled 15,504 points in his career.
It was back on March 24, 2017 when Booker had a 70-point outing. He is one of just nine players ever to have a game of at least 70 points.
DeMar DeRozan Also Scores 32 Against Warriors
Later in the night, the Kings pulled out a 123-117 victory at home over the Golden State Warriors. Sacramento is now 10-2 under interim coach Doug Christie and 23-20 on the season. The 35-year-old DeRozan had a 32-point outing to help the Kings secure the win over Golden Stare. In the contest, he shot 12-21 from the field, 3-6 from three-point territory, and 5-6 from the charity stripe. Per StatMuse, that is also the 200th time in his career that he has dropped at least 30 points.

The ninth overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, DeRozan is averaging 21.8 points in his 38 games this season. He has averaged at least 20 per contest every season since 2013-14, meaning that this would be his 12th consecutive year doing so. DeRozan now has 24,411 points scored in his career, good for 29th-most in NBA history.
Playing his first nine seasons with the Raptors, DeRozan is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer with 13,296 points.
Far Way Off From All-Time Record
While 200 games of at least 30 points is certainly impressive, both Booker and DeRozan are nowhere near surpassing the all-time leader. The man atop the leaderboard is none other than 40-year-old LeBron James, still actively playing with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has done it 563 times in his career.
That 563rd time of at least scoring 30 occurred on January 3 in a game against the Atlanta Hawks. That allowed James to surpass Michael Jordan for most 30+ point games in NBA history. The legendary Jordan scored that much 562 times. The only other player to have done it at least 500 times is Wilt Chamberlain, who had 516 30+ point games in his career.
