Good job, Yankees.
I was a little worried that I’d wake up on Wednesday morning and the Los Angeles Dodgers would be world champions. Thankfully, they’re not.
On Tuesday, the New York Yankees staved off elimination, finally looking like the all-world team that they are in an 11-4 win over the Dodgers. It kept the 2024 season alive, and moved us a tiny step closer to the absolute most funny outcome that could possibly happen in baseball this year: the Dodgers blowing a 3-0 lead in the World Series.
Make it happen, Yankees. Please make it happen. It will all be worth it at that point.
Game 5 is tonight at 5:08 p.m. PT in New York, and you can watch it on FOX. It’s a battle of aces, with Jack Flaherty taking the mound for the Dodgers, and Gerrit Cole on the bump for the Yankees.
If Los Angeles wins, well … we don’t talk about that. If New York wins, then the series shifts back to Southern California for Game 6 on Friday, and hopefully Game 7 on Saturday.
Go get ‘em, Yankees. Beat LA.
How many days until Opening Day?
Just 148!
