Beat LA.
And on and on and on the MLB postseason goes. I’ve almost forgotten how busy it is, it’s been so long since the San Francisco Giants were involved. But alas, now is not the time to bemoan the Giants recent failures; no, it’s the time to cheer against their bitter rivals.
Yes, the National League Championship Series continues today after a one-game break, and Game 3 of the NLCs heads across the country to the Big Apple, where the New York Mets will host the Los Angeles Dodgers in a series that is tied at one game apiece. For the Mets, it’s Luis Severino taking the mound, with the veteran having having made two starts this postseason, and allowing seven runs and six earned runs in 12 innings, with 10 strikeouts against two walks. For the Dodgers it’s Walker Buehler, who makes his second start of the postseason after giving up six earned runs in five innings his last time out, with no strikeouts and one walk.
You don’t have to root for the Mets. But you sure as hell have to root against the Dodgers. That’s the law, and I take it very seriously. Those who do not comply with the law will be told very sternly that they’ve disappointed me and made me sad. And then you’ll have to deal with my mom.
How many days until Opening Day?
If non-Giants baseball isn’t your thing, well don’t worry: only 162 days until the good stuff.
