A double-dose of baseball!
Championship Series baseball continues, and I’m beginning to think the San Francisco Giants just aren’t going to get invited this year. Don’t give up hope, though.
It’s a doubleheader, with Game 3 of the ALCS happening at 2:08 p.m. PT on TBS, truTV, and Max, followed by Game 4 of the NLCS at 5:08 p.m. PT on FS1.
The theme of former Giants taking the mound continues in the ALCS … kind of. The Cleveland Guardians, who trail 2-0 in their series, are giving the ball to Matthew Boyd who, while never appearing in a game for the Giants, spend quite a few months employed by them. He’s up against Clarke Schmidt of the New York Yankees.
It’s less of a stretch in the NLCS, where the New York Mets — who trail the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 after getting rudely shellacked on Wednesday — are turning to former Giant José Quintana. He faces off against former Giant target Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Giants everywhere! Except in Giants jerseys, sadly.
Enjoy the baseball. Beat LA.
