Playoff baseball abounds.
Well, if baseball’s what you want, then baseball’s what you get. We’re quickly nearing the end of the season, but both of of the Championship Series games are live today. It’s not San Francisco Giants baseball, but it is some kind of baseball, or so I’m told.
First, at 1:08 p.m. PT, it’s Game 2 of the NLCS, with the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the New York Mets. The Mets will hopefully bounce back after the evil Dodgers ran away with Game 1, winning 9-0. It was not fun at all. Hopefully you did the smart thing and didn’t watch it. I, for one, am not enjoying this Dodgers team that, despite half their pitchers being broken, doesn’t know how to give up runs.
Anyway, this game is former Giant Sean Manaea against the Dodgers’ bullpen, and you can watch it on Fox and FS1.
Then, at 4:38 p.m. PT, it’s the kickoff of the ALCS, where the Cleveland Guardians will visit the New York Yankees. That game features not one, but two former Giants taking the mound, as Alex Cobb will represent Cleveland while Carlos Rodón takes the bump for New York. I’m not sure how to feel about this. I’m not sure how you should feel about this. But you can watch it on TBS, Max, and truTV.
Enjoy the baseball, folks. Beat LA. That’s not an opinion, but an imperative. Do it, Mets. Do it immediately.
