It marches on!
Well, it’s a day that ends in “Y,” so it’s another day without San Francisco Giants baseball.
But there’s plenty more MLB postseason action to watch.
Thanks to an epic 10th-inning victory on Thursday, the Cleveland Guardians remain right in the thick of the American League playoff picture, as they now trail the New York Yankees 2-1 in the ALCS. They’ll try to tie that series up tonight at 5:08 p.m. PT on TBS, truTV, and Max, behind starter Gavin Williams. He’s up against the Yankees Luis Gil.
Things are less pretty in the National League, where the New York Mets are unfortunately proving to be fairly feckless against the Los Angeles Dodgers. LA won another blowout on Thursday by a score of 10-2, and they now are on the brink of a World Series appearance, as they’re up 3-1 in the best-of-seven series. They’ll try and close things out tonight with Jack Flaherty on the mound, while David Peterson takes the bump for the Mets.
Beat LA, Mets. Just do it. I don’t ask for much in this world.
How many days until Opening Day?
Just 160!
