On Wednesday we had our second runoff of the 2025 Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List. Which means that today, we get to add two names to our list of the top 44 prospects in the San Francisco Giants organization.

There are similarities between each player: they’re both right-handed starting pitchers, they’re both fairly new to the system, and they’re both making their CPL debut.

At No. 27 is Josh Bostick, the team’s eighth-round pick in 2023. Bostick, who turned 23 in October, spent the season in Low-A San Jose, where he had a 4.78 ERA and a 4.71 FIP, with 10.2 strikeouts and 3.7 walks per nine innings. He appeared in 26 games, made 23 starts, and threw 107.1 innings. Those metrics don’t jump off the page, but there’s a whole lot of internal excitement about him, and the life on his pitches.

That’s equally true for Argenis Cayama, who comes in at No. 28 on the list. An international signing out of Venezuela a year ago, Cayama — who turned 18 in September — made 10 starts in the Dominican Summer League, and pitched 24.1 innings. He finished his debut pro season with a 2.59 ERA and a 3.20 FIP, with 10.7 strikeouts and 3.3 walks per nine innings. He should be headed for the states this season.
