It’s time for some weekend baseball.
Well it’s time for something truly lovely: weekend baseball. It’s the second game in a three-game series between the San Francisco Giants and Milwaukee Brewers, who would be the top two seeds in the National League if the postseason were to start today.
In other words, it’s a good baseball team against a good baseball team, on a good day. Which should make for good baseball.
The Giants will have their hands full though. A day after facing Cy Young candidate Corbin Burnes, things don’t get much easier in the form of righty Brandon Woodruff. Woodruff has a 2.26 ERA and 2.68 FIP, with 152 strikeouts to 32 walks in 131.1 innings. The Brewers are, apparently, manufacturing aces in labs these days.
Go Giants.
