Kyle Harrison vs. Quinn Priester
The San Francisco Giants welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to Oracle Park tonight to begin a three-game series.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be left-hander Kyle Harrison, who enters today’s game with a 5.00 ERA, 4.55 FIP, with 24 strikeouts to five walks in 27 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 7-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks last Saturday, in which he allowed three runs on six hits with five strikeouts and a walk in four innings.
He’ll be facing off against Pirates right-hander Quinn Priester, who will be making his second start of the season tonight. His first was in the Pirates’ 8-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox last Friday, in which he allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits with two strikeouts and a walk in four and a third innings.
Lineup notes: Thairo Estrada is not in the lineup, with Tyler Fitzgerald getting the start. And the Giants will be facing three Forever Giants in the opposing lineup in Andrew McCutchen, Bryan Reynolds, and 2019 Opening Day left-fielder Connor Joe.
