The Los Angeles Dodgers have taken full control of the NLCS and are now just a game away from their first trip to the World Series since their 2020 run. The New York Mets are fighting to stay alive one more day, but they’ll have to do it in the hostile confines of Dodgers Stadium.
Jack Flaherty, coming off 7 shutout innings in Game 1, will look to emerge as LA’s postseason ace as he hopes to out the series and send his team to the final round. He’ll have help from a lineup that’s absolutely come alive and mashed throughout this series, scoring 30 runs over 4 games and getting significant contributions from top to bottom. Freddie Freeman will be returning to the starting lineup after getting Game 4 off to nurse an ankle injury.

Starting for the Mets in potentially their final game of the year is David Peterson, who had a 2.90 ERA in the regular season but has only pitched out of the bullpen in the playoffs thus far. He’s been effective and will look to translate that success to a longer outing.
After remaining mostly consistent with their lineup in the playoffs, the Mets are making a last-ditch effort to shuffle some names around in hopes of sparking some offense.
