We’re back for Game 4 of the NLCS and the Los Angeles Dodgers are now leading the New York Mets 2-1 in the series. Outside of the Mets’ sole Game 2 win, they’ve been outscored 17-0 by the Dodgers in two games, highlighted by a third-deck bomb from Shohei Ohtani last night.
Tonight, Los Angeles will have a strong chance at getting another road win with Yoshinobu Yamamoto taking the helm. On offense, facing a lefty in the Mets’ Jose Quintana, the team will be moving a trio of righties to the middle of the lineup: Teoscar Hernandez, Tommy Edman, and Kike Hernandez. The Dodgers will take the opportunity to give southpaw Freddie Freeman a day to rest on the bench as he nurses a sprained right ankle, though he’ll likely be available for pinch-hitting duties.

On the home team side, the Mets will be starting center fielder Harrison Bader in place of Tyrone Taylor, while running out the same eight guys around him.
